Maddie Mondays are Back!

*If you’re new here, Maddie Mondays are my personal project days, where I don’t work on anything WORK related, and get to do whatever house project I’m currently knee deep in!

I finally have time to dedicate to Maddie Mondays, and I am SO excited! Of course, the first thing I had to tackle on my first Maddie Monday (the Monday after Thanksgiving) was switching over my home décor from fall to Christmas. My house is now fully decked out (at least inside), so now I’m focusing on a long-awaited project – the board and batten up my staircase.

This is a project that I’ve been eager to do since I moved in three years ago, but it’s also one of those intense projects that you just always manage to keep putting off. I decided December was my month, though, so I’m excited to get started!

I’ve prepped everything – new caulk, new paint, etc. – and it already looks SO MUCH BETTER. I can’t wait to get the MDF up for the actual board and batten, and then I can start sharing photos!

Passages

With the delay of the First Rider’s Call project (which I’ll go into more details about below), I am letting myself breathe a little again. And one of the ways I’m giving myself more space is by picking Passages back up. So, starting in December, I’ll be jumping back into working on the next scene, “Differences.”

As I’ve mentioned in various places, I’m kind of grateful for the hiatus I had to take on this particular scene. The time has given me a chance to rethink my concept, and I have a much better plan for the costumes and the scene itself. I cannot wait to get into it!

Green Rider: First Rider’s Call

Last month, Kristina and I made the tough decision to delay the project by a few months. We were both getting to a point where we were too stressed out to be enjoying the project or, more importantly, putting out our best work. So, we decided it wasn’t worth our sanity or sacrificing quality to rush for a December finish date.

I am so thankful to all of you who have shown your support and understanding with this project! It was a big undertaking, and Kristina and I want to take the time to do it justice.

Even with the extended deadline, though, I’ve still been working away at the photos. I’ve gotten quite a few more finished, so, now I just have four left.

If you’d like to see all the finished images so far, you can view them here.

Patreon

Lately, I’ve been sharing some sneak peeks and before/afters of my images over on Patreon as well as some more behind the scenes thought-process kind of stuff.

I know some of my patrons are there for the exclusive behind-the-scenes looks and the accompanying perks (and I love sharing that stuff with you!), but I also know a lot of my patrons are also just there to be supportive. So, I’ve been trying to find a balance between sharing exclusive content and just sharing more of my life so that I can fulfill the expectations of both sides of my Patreon.

Anyway, if you’d like to get exclusive peeks and perks, or you just want to support my art, I would love to have you join me over on Patreon.
