Usually, March is one of the longest months of the year for me. It seems like as short as February always feels, March is determined to do the opposite and stretch on for twice as long as any other month.

Not this month though. Somehow I started writing this February recap and before I knew it, I was sending it out almost half way through the March!

But anyway, you’re not here for a long-winded intro, so let’s just dive in to everything I got up to last month!

Patreon

I have decided that this year, I’m putting most of my energy into Patreon. There are a couple reasons behind this, but a big one is recognizing that it just makes sense to put your energy towards the things that are actually working. I have become increasingly frustrated with the fact that Facebook and Instagram make it virtually impossible for even the people who follow me to see the content I put out. In comparison, Patreon sends an email to my followers whenever a new post goes live, so they never worry about missing any of my content! It’s nice to have somewhere the content I spend so much time working on can be seen!

In the last few weeks, I released a few polls for my patrons to vote on. The goal was to better tailor my content to what they wanted to see on the platform and two of the items with the most votes was sharing more personal stuff (like recipes and personal photos) and exclusive merch. I’m really excited to be exploring these more, because they’re not things I’ve really done on any other platform before! I’ve already got a recipe for Hoki’s favorite New Zealand meat pies and some brioche doughnuts queued to go out!

If you’d like to hang out with us, I have several tiers, the lowest of which is only $1 a month (that’s less than a new book, t-shirt, or a tank of gas for a whole year of content)!

Side note: I will probably be closing out the $1 tier and replacing it at a higher price soon, so if you want to be grandfathered in at that price, sign up now!

TikTok – Instagram – Facebook – Twitter

While I did say I’m spending more of my energy on Patreon this year, that does not, however, mean I am completely neglecting the other platforms. I will still be active on and creating content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, so if you’re on any of those platforms I would still love a follow there for some extra support!

Boutique

I finally did it! I launched the new boutique on my website! And while this may just feel like a glorified page redesign and name change, I really do feel like it is more than just changing around my shop’s digital layout.

First, this redesign is meant to make it MUCH easier for you to navigate the boutique. I fully recognize that different parts of my audience are here for different things, whether it’s Green Rider related merch or my own personal Passages work. I wanted to make it super easy for all of you to find exactly what you’re looking for, without having to sort through all the things you may be less interested in.

Second, I’ve mentioned this before, but I have always had a small dream to one day open my own boutique, with lots of cute gifts, home decor items, and small treasures. While a physical location is not realistic at this point in time, that doesn’t mean I can’t make my own online boutique that feels just like you’re walking through shelves of treasure.

So I’d love to know what you think! Is there any feedback you have for improvements? Other items you’d like to see in the shop? Layout adjustments that would make it even easier to navigate? Let me know!

Twitch

Our Valentine’s Party last month was a big success! I got to pop a lot of balloons to surprise viewers with fun giveaways, and we played a few party games. I’m thinking the next Twitch party will be in April and will be Easter themed! Maybe some sort of easter egg hunt for the giveaways? And, of course, I must share my family’s tradition of coscarones (confetti eggs) somehow….

Also, an important reminder that starting this month, streams will be moving to the same times on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They will now be at 2 PM CST both days, which will hopefully make it easier for everyone, including myself, to remember the schedule!

Green Rider

Fulfillment has begun! With the artwork finished, I have now turned my attention to ordering prints and wrapping up the art book design. I currently have a box filled with artwork from my printer sitting in my studio, ready for me to break open and start embellishing, and the art book is now with the final proofers, so I will hopefully be able to put an order for that in at the end of the week, or next week at the latest!

I also want to apologize in advance for the plethora of emails you may be receiving right now regarding your First Rider’s Call orders, but please respond quickly if you do get any. It will speed order fulfillment along!

And as a reminder, add-ons are still available through the end of the month! If you’re wanting to grab a print, or an art book, or any other merch, you only have a couple more weeks to do so!

Maddie Mondays

The old doors I have been patiently stripping are now finished and installed in my closet! I am so pleased with them and feel like they are a great improvement over the hollow core doors that used to hang in their place.

Now I need to decide what my next Maddie Monday project will be and to be honest, I’m not really sure what it will be! I’d like to start getting back into the garden, but the weather is not cooperating, so we shall see.

Passages

This month I have a goal to either finally decide what I’m doing with the Differences costume OR move on to another photo. This costume has been weighing on me for a long time, because I feel a lot of pressure to make it perfect, but I am trying to not let that pressure get the better of me. I’ll be doing a Passages-themed stream next Tuesday on Twitch, so hopefully I will have more of an update after the stream!
